My performance is a poor-man's version, at best, but it's the only Dead song I've done that for. I've managed to learn Garcia's two leads to the point I can play them fairly competently. To this day, this performance leaves me exhilarated, exhausted and awestruck by the end of it. Speaking of which, while this is my favorite show, 1974 is my favorite year overall.įor my money, the "Morning Dew" here is worth the price of admission alone - and without question my favorite version.

And it is my personal favorite, with 3-23-74 a close second. That said, it's clear this concert is one of the band's high points, from both a musical proficiency and sonically explorative standpoints. We can talk all day about an individual's "best," "worst," etc. To paraphrase Peter Parker, with subjectivity comes great ambiguity. It's impossible, and as a result, pointless, to rank shows, individual performances, songs or anything else related to the Grateful Dead as "best" or "worst" or anything in between. WOULD I PASS THIS SHOW ON TO SOMEONE ELSE (rather than getting bent on a 'Holy Grail' trip) Might be wise to treat this as being part Honorable mention- Phil, Billy, Keith, Mickey (I admit not everybody considers that an issue) Lightning>Supplication, Keith- Bob & DonnaĮverything else is solid and sound is top shelfĪ few minor vocal flubs (but no trainwrecks)ĭead air, pace or flow often an issue during 1977 (One of the best DEW crescendo endings ever) Really hope you enjoy my shows every week.MORNING DEW-size up your "GOAT" right here I’m so honoured to have joined such a fantastic team of DJ’s there amazing and always do a great job. Hearing this News it has shattered my life and everyone around me but doing my line dancing keeps me going, I always want to live my life to the fullest and enjoy everyday as if it’s my last. In January 2018 I was diagnosed again with two meningioma brain tumours which was devastating news as thought I was doing so well, unfortunately the tumours are unable to be removed so I’ve just had a course of cyberknife radiotherapy which I am now waiting to see if has been successful. There are all so loyal and support me every week. I’m so lucky to have such great classes I have a Monday morning class with over 75 members and a Tuesday evening class with over 65 members. I can honestly say Line dancing is my life I have some truly amazing friends and it’s helped me so much as in June 2016 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour called a meningioma, which was awful and caused so many bad symptoms but again my line dancers supported me through this illness which I’m truly grateful for that.
